A Bit About Me
I am a double Board-certified General and Colon and Rectal Surgeon with 15 years of clinical experience. I offer expertise in minimally invasive, surgical treatment of benign, malignant, and inflammatory diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus. I will offer your patient the very best that modern medicine has to offer, whether that's counseling and reassurance or major surgery.
The treatment should always be better than the problem!

Summer 2021
I joined Lovelace Medical Group General Surgery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to spearhead growth of their Colorectal Surgery Program.
I took time away from clinical work to reflect and recover after going through surgery and chemotherapy for breast cancer during the pandemic. I also completed my Surgical Ethics Fellowship with the Washington University, St. Louis, Center for Humanism and Ethics in the Surgical Specialties-- .
I provided full-time colorectal surgical services in a hospital clinic-employed model with Overlake Medical Center and Clinics in Bellevue, WA.
I took some time off to rest, vacation, and move from Utah to Washington State.
September 2009 - June 2021
While a full-time colorectal surgeon in a private practice model in Salt Lake City, Utah, I also served as core faculty for the ACGME-accredited colorectal fellowship administered by an alliance of local private colorectal surgery practices. Among other leadership roles, I served as the first Program Director of the first Commission on Cancer-accredited center in Utah to gain its designation as a Rectal Cancer Center of Excellence or "NAPRC" Accreditation.
